Mazatlan

Day four greeted us with another picturesce view of mexicos beauty..........

Paul decided to go fishing with Ryan and his Dad so I hung out all day with the rest of the Johnson family. Our waiter in the dining room was from Mazatlan and told us the best beach was on stone island. so we took a water taxi over to the island and it was wonderful!! quiet and peaceful and a really beautiful beach.

Ryan's sister Brittney and her husband Nick brought their son Jack on the trip. I thoroughly enjoyed playing with that little guy when i was missing my little munchkins back home.
While we were eating lunch a guy came over and offered to let us hold his iguanas. Nick was the brave one and Jack thought they were really cool. I'm sure dad earned some points for that one!

Welcome to Mexico!!

Ok so day 3.
So Paul and I woke up bright and early to spend a glorious day in Puerto Vallarta. I had never been outside of the us and had visions of glorious beaches and palm trees.......this picture shows my first vision of Mexico. (yup thats a walmart)

Once I stoped laughing Paul and I headed out to have the adventure of out lives!! We booked the high adventure excursion and I was terrified!!! We got on a boat that took us to a small fishing village on the other side of the city. The ride took about 20 minutes and we got to see a couple of giant bat rays swimming around us. they were at least 9 feet across and swam right up to our boat. It was amazing to see them so up close! Once we reached the beach we got into military jeeps and rode up the mt to the base camp. we then took mules further up to the top of the Sierras Madras forest. By this time my heart was beating like crazy and i was starting to feel excited but VERY anxious. We were told by our guides that we would be zip lining down 10 lines and that theirs was the highest and longest in Mexico. I wish I could tell you how high up we were but all hearing lost me when i looked down. I do have to say I'm really glad i did but i don't think I'll be doing it again any time soon. Paul of course loved every minute of the zip lining. The part I did LOVE was the repelling. I think I liked it so much because i felt in control. We rappelled down 2 waterfalls and it was beautiful!!

(at one point i lost my brake and had to be rescued.my guide was VERY nice!! hehehe)

the wedding

On day 2 of our trip our good friends Ryan and Cheryl were married. They are so cute together and really bring out the best in one another. Paul and I were really honered to be there for them. We love you guys!!!
